Family of products certification

This article describes how to submit, provide comments/additional files and check the status a Family of products request using ONVIF member-tools.

Submitting a new Family Certification request

  1. In ONVIF member-tools click “Family Certification”
  2. Select the Primary product from the list
  3. Select FW (needs to be approved and not older than 72h)
  4. Drop supporting documentation in the file area (no need to submit the old family document)
  5. In the “Family products to include” section, enter the model name of a product to be included in the family certification and add a short description of the differences between that model and the primary product. Click “Add” and enter up to 8 more.
  6. Click “Submit"

Checking/updating status of a Family Certification request

  1. In ONVIF member-tools click “Pending Family Cert.”
  2. Locate the request in either in pending or handled.
  3. Click “View” to open the request and reply to comments/attach additional files.

Email notifications

  • When a new Family Certification request is submitted, ONVIF Admin will be notified.
  • If status of a request changes (approved/rejected), the user submitting the request will be notified.
  • If comments are added either ONVIF Admin or the submitting user will be notified.
